Learning outcomes in pedagogy, first-cycle studies, education profile: practical:

The field of knowledge the graduate:
– has basic pedagogical, psychological, philosophical and sociological knowledge supporting the understanding of the processes of development, socialization, upbringing, care and education, used in everyday pedagogical, caring, educational and therapeutic work;
– has basic knowledge of general didactics, theoretical foundations and detailed methodologies ensuring independent preparation, implementation and evaluation of classes in institutions, in accordance with the selected specialization of studies;
– has basic knowledge about the structure and functions of the educational system and the system of childcare, their legal grounds, goals, organization and functioning of institutions, in accordance with the chosen specialization of studies; and about human rights and the methods of their enforcement and promotion in the social environment;
– has basic knowledge of pedagogical innovations and the role of the teacher/educator in the processes of education, upbringing and care–taking for children, youth and adults in institutions, in accordance with the selected specialization of studies;
– has basic knowledge about the diverse possibilities of the psychological/pedagogical changes resulting from delays, disorders or acceleration of development and in the scope of adapting development, educational, preventive and therapeutic tasks to each of the processes, among others, in the framework of inclusive education, its practical application included;
– has basic knowledge of designing and conducting scientific research in pedagogy, taking into account the basics of copyright and diagnostic tests, as well as the specificity of the functioning of pupils/changes and their diverse educational needs;
– has basic knowledge about the processes of social communication and mediation and about the use of information and communication technologies in education, knowledge of voice emission and the functioning and dysfunction of the speech apparatus, as well as the correct habits of using speech organs;
– has basic knowledge of occupational health and safety in educational, care and care–taking, as well as first aid institutions, and legal responsibility of the educator and/or the guardian.

In the field of skills, the graduate:
– performs observation, analysis and assessment of pedagogical situations and events, using pedagogical–psychological, axiological, sociological and biomedical knowledge, and proposes solutions to various educational problems in institutions, in accordance with the selected specialization of studies;
– selects, applies and evaluates solutions in the field of methodology of performing tasks – standards, procedures and good practices applied in institutions, according to the selected specialization of studies, and designs alternative pedagogical solutions and innovations adequately for educational purposes;
– uses – in everyday pedagogical practice – various ways of organizing the educational environment, taking into account the specific needs and capabilities of the group and individual pupils/changes, and creates educational and didactic situations that motivate them to learn and work on themselves, and analyzes their effectiveness;
– designs and conducts pedagogical research and has skills in the following areas: diagnosing the needs, possibilities and talents of each pupil/change, as well as planning, implementing and evaluating individualized education, upbringing, care and therapy programs;
– effectively uses the information obtained about him from parents/legal guardians and specialists in working with the pupils in planning and organizing didactic, educational, care and therapeutic work;
– designs and implements activities aimed at developing key competences of pupils, with particular emphasis on creativity, innovation and the ability to learn independently and to solve problems in a team;
– identifies and arouses the interests of the oncoming changes and adjusts the methods and content of education, upbringing and care to these resources;
– has basic language skills in line with the requirements specified for level B2 of the CEFR requirements;
– uses the principles of social communication and mediation as well as information and communication technologies in the process of education, upbringing and care–taking, and in conducting pedagogical research;
– can apply in practice knowledge about the structure and functions of the processes of education and care system for children, youth and adults; legal basis, goals, organization and functioning of the institution, in accordance with the chosen specialization of studies;
– uses the speech apparatus in accordance with the rules of voice emission;
– applies the knowledge of the first aid in practice.

In the field of social competences, the graduate
– evaluates and shows genuine concern for the harmonious and comprehensive development of charges/charges, developing their key competences;
– uses ethical standards in professional activity, guided primarily by respect for the pupil's rights and with respect for the subjectivity of all subjects of education;
– responsibly plays the role of a pedagogue, educator and guardian, taking into account the social needs of the environment; skilfully communicates and cooperates with teachers, educators, specialists and parents of pupils as well as other members of the local community, care and educational institutions and the local community, building mutual trust;
– self–evaluates the undertaken pedagogical activities and looks for innovative educational, care–taking and therapeutic solutions, and is ready to initiate and implement changes;
– is aware of the need to critically assess his/her own knowledge and develop his/her interests (not only in pedagogical sciences), and undertakes activities aimed at developing and improving pedagogical competences as part of lifelong education;
– undertakes activities for the benefit of the social environment, inspiring and organizing activities for the benefit of pupils and their families, as well as institutions, in accordance with the selected specialization of studies.
